The next day we started at Morehouse College. You will see Mrs. Davis with Dr. Melvinia King and Edith McGuire Duvall . Dr. King is a former Vallejo resident. She and her husband Johnnie King once owned all of the McDonalds in Vallejo before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. She is now a professor at Morehouse. Edith Mcguire Duvall is 1964 Olympic medalist. She won one gold medal and two silver medals. She happened to be in Atlanta receiving an award. Dr. King gave the initial tour. We were allowed to participate in a Sports journalism class. We toured the school and dined in the school's cafe.
WOW Mrs. King... I remember her. I did not know she was professor at Morehouse. How WONDERFUL!
ReplyDeleteI really loved the atmosphere and the vibe I felt just being on the Morehouse campus. I can REALLY see myself going to this school.
